10 After Effects Templates That Blew Us Away in 2017 - envato.com coupon

2017 was the year people got serious about video. Our After Effects templates library certainly reflects this. Over the course of the last twelve months, we’ve seen a huge emphasis on onscreen text, catering to the growing audience who watch videos without sound. We’ve had templates that push the boundaries of excess, whose main objective is to be eye-poppingly bright to command attention. And then we had packs that were simply breathtaking in their creativity. This list has a bit of it all. Some of them are best sellers, some of them are editorial choices, and all of them were released in 2017.

So, sit back, watch, read and enjoy our list of the 10 After Effects Templates That Blew Us Away in 2017.

Big Pack of Elements by Motion-Land

Big Pack of Elements is the result of a two year collaboration between a couple of already successful Envato authors. Dmitriy part of recarto, and Alex the man behind A_White, joined forces in 2015 to create a versatile pack of useful After Effects elements. The final product is something that impressed our reviews team here at Envato, delighted customers, and stormed our video marketplace, being sold more than two thousand times.

Transitions by RoyalPixels

Transitions is a pack of, you guessed it, transitions that are really slick and creative. There are options for “Camera Transitions” in which the frame pans around the corners of your footage as you transition from one shot to another. There’s are gorgeous “Brush Effects” that are extremely elegant. And, there are a number of “Shape” transitions, which look truly luscious. This pack only came out in June, yet it’s made quite the impression.

Titles and Lower Thirds by flikmotion

Honestly one of the most straightforward and contemporary items of the year. “Boxd” Titles and Lower Thirds is a pack of titles and lower thirds in boxes (get it?). It’s a ready to go pack with boxes around your text resizing automatically, and a number of style variations that are minimal enough to fit almost any brand, but bold enough to catch the eye. So many videos these days are watched without sound and a pack like this ensures yours will still be engaging, even on mute.

Rhythmic Opener by levmotion

Rhythmic Opener is part of the “fast typography” trend we saw absolutely explode this year. As mentioned, people are watching more videos than ever without sound. So, templates like this one are using typography in interesting, eye catching ways to capture the eye of those promiscuous scrollers perusing a web page or social media newsfeed. Make the most of Facebook and Twitter auto playing videos by grabbing their eyes and keeping them.

Particle Builder | Sand Pack: Dust Sand Storm Disintegration Effect Vfx Generator by Pixflow

Photoshop Actions continue to be a best selling category on our graphic design marketplaces, and 2017 brought us a bunch of items that allow you to bring them to life in a video. The Particle Builder series of items by Pixflow works much the same as Photoshop actions, where you take your picture, graphic or a piece of text, mask the section you want to animate, and automate it using one of six options. Sand Pack was only released in December, and is already pretty popular.

This is Slideshow by D-Music

This is Slideshow is a fresh template pack that will turn a set of images and text into a truly compelling video. The animations are smooth and quick, and they’re also very detailed. Take a look at how the photos in the background animate subtly with a tile effect or something of the like. And the colors just pop.

Titles by motioncan

Motioncan’s Titles is ultra modern. It’s filled with simple, bold typography that animates in a way that’s almost jolty. It offers a number of great options to show off your text, logo, captions and lower thirds. And it’s one of the newer items on the market, having come out in December, which means it’ll be something fresh for 2018.

Promo Intro by 7Roads

Promo Intro by 7Roads is quick! It packs a lot into 7 seconds, including photos that animate under semi-transparent gradients, text and a final logo. It’s a great bumper that commands attention.

Cinematic Parallax Slideshow by cowardrobertford

This one by cowardrobertford is breathtaking. A great option for an opener of a video or tv show, it uses a parallax effects to add depth to still photography. That, mixed with the way the text animates, makes it truly unique.

Typography by motioncan

Motioncan’s second entry on this list is eye-poppingly beautiful. Typography features a whole grab basket of stunning templates in which to insert your text and have it be the star of your video. With vivid pinks, royal blues, and a great variety of modern design options, this pack should have at least one thing you can use, if not more.

Conclusion

As we look forward to 2018, these items are setting the tone as to what we can expect. Eye-catching animation, eye-popping color, and lots more text. So, buckle up, because this is only the beginning.

WordPress 2017: The Year in Review - envato.com coupon

Today, I wanted to take some time out to look back at the major milestones, news and trends have shaped WordPress throughout this year, the theme and plugins trends that have evolved throughout the year, and also look at what to expect for WordPress in 2018.

WordPress in 2017: The Milestones

March: WordPress Plugin Directory Gets a New Look

The WordPress.org Plugin Directory.

The WordPress.org plugin directory was relaunched with a brand new design and an improved search algorithm after almost a year in the making. While the redesign was welcomed with mostly positive feedback, there were some initial hiccups around how plugin stats were displayed and the tabbed layout.

WordPress contributors also said they felt their feedback was ignored despite the WordPress Meta Team consulting with the community. But after a few more iterations of the redesign and useful updates for plugin authors, the consensus now is that the redesign was a success.

June: WordPress 4.8 Released

New widgets in WordPress 4.8. Credit:WordPress.org.

Named in honor of jazz pianist and composer William John “Bill” Evans, WordPress 4.8 delivered admin improvements that some might describe as minor, but if you ask me they’ve made my life using WordPress so much easier.

The most visible features included link improvements, 3 new media widgets covering images, audio, and video, an updated text widget that with visual editing support, and an upgraded news section for the dashboard displaying nearby and upcoming WordPress events.

For developers, this version didn’t disappoint. It delivered more accessible admin panel headings, Multisite updates, a text editor JavaScript API and a media widgets API.

As usual, there were lots of fantastic volunteers who contributed to this version – 346, in fact – including 106 who were contributing for the first time.

June: WordCamp Europe in Paris

WordCamp Europe 2017 was held in Paris, France.

Despite being promoted as “the largest WordPress event to this day” with more than 3,000 expected attendees, WordCamp Europe fell short with just 1,900 people actually attending the two-day conference in Paris. Compared to WCEU in Vienna in 2016, there were 5% fewer people. Organizers blamed the relatively low attended on a 24% no-show rate, selling tickets too early and the expensive French location.

Still, those who did attend had an amazing time meeting friends and colleagues and, of course, learning from the excellent presentations on offers. Many, many WordPress folks shared their memories in wrap-up posts you can find on the WordCamp Europe 2017 website.

WordCamp Europe 2019 will be held in Belgrade, Serbia.

June: Gutenberg Released for Beta Testing

The Gutenberg editor.

WordPress co-founder Matt Mullenweg launched Gutenberg at WordCamp Europe and ever since it has caused a stir in the community. Matt Cromwell from WordImpress.com was th efirst to share his impressions of the project, which aims to replace the visual/text editor in WordPress with a new post and page building experience that uses blocks.

A lot of other people have shared their opinions about the plugin, both good and bad, even prompting Mullenweg to defend the project. At one point, it was anticipated the plugin would be merged with WordPress 4.9, but work on improving it as a standalone feature-as-a-plugin continues.

While there have been big advances in how it functions and performs, a lot of work still needs to be done if it is going to really transform how we work in the backend of WordPress to publish online – and help the CMS compete with platforms like Wix, Squarespace and Weebly.

No doubt there will be more strong opinions about the project as the team behind it works towards including it in WordPress 5.0.

September: WordPress Reacts to React – and Wins

Drop it like it’s hot: WordPress said it would stop using React.

The Gutenberg team started looking for a new JavaScript library, albeit briefly, after Mullenweg announced the WordPress community would stop using Facebook’s React JavaScript library over concerns about a patent clause in the social media giant’s open source license.

In a blog post, Mullenweg explained he had hoped to officially adopt React for WordPress, given that Automattic had already used React for its WordPress.com app Calypso, and contributors had started using it for Gutenberg.

It didn’t take long for Facebook to do an about-face. Just a week later the company re-license React due to the backlash from the open source community.

November: WordPress 4.9 Released

WordPress 4.9 featured new site-building improvements. Credit:WordPress.org.

The latest version of WordPress, named “Tipton” in honor of jazz musician and band leader Billy Tipson, features a stack of updates designed to help publishers and improve the software’s performance.

The Customizer has been given a big update with all-new design drafts, scheduling, locking and preview links. There’s also code syntax highlighting and error checking aimed at creating a smoother site building experience. Other additions include a new gallery widget and improvements to theme browsing and switching.

December: WordCamp US in Nashville

The dust has only started to settle after WordCamp US on December 1-3, but by all accounts it was a huge success. Mullenweg delivered his annual State of the Word address, which highlighted the achievements of the past year while setting the direction for the year ahead for WordPress.

The big news was that WordPress has grown another 2%+ this year – it now powers 29.1% of the web. Mullenweg said he planned to keep his “lead hat” on for another year and see the Gutenberg project through all the way to inclusion in the core WordPress software.

WordPress Themes in 2017: The Design Trends

Trends can also say a lot about the times. Trends ebb and flow in web design and development, but a sMadeleine Morley at The American Institute for Graphic Arts says:

“A trend never simply emerges for a single year and then disappears in a puff of smoke. Instead, an aesthetic becomes popular gradually, even mysteriously, over time before fizzling out slowly without much notice at all.”

With that in mind, what has 2017 been all about? If our theme marketplace is anything to go by, minimalism and simplification are here to stay – at least for the time being.

This year has seen the beginnings of a resistance to the flat design movement, with more of a focus on originality and individuality in the use of custom graphics, illustrations and iconography.

Semi Flat Design

First there was skeuomorphic design and then flat design came along and dug its heels in thanks to Google’s Material Design. This year, however, has seen somewhere of a disruption with “semi flat design” becoming more and more popular.

So what is it? Well, it’s not flat and it’s certainly not skeuomorphic. Semi flat design adds more dimension to themes using subtle shadows to add a hint of complexity while still retaining the clean feeling of a flat design.

Freeman – Creative WordPress Theme for Agencies is one such theme embracing this design trend. Notice the shadows that lift the website examples to the right of this homepage design:

The Freeman theme.

Microinteractions

Microinteractions have become so ubiquitous in web design this year that any theme that doesn’t have them is boring. What are they? Essentially, a microinteraction is a small product-related moment that accomplishes a single task.

Whether it’s to inform a user that a button has been clicked or a form has been sent, microinteraction help add magic to sites and delight users while enhancing the user experience.

One of my favorite examples of a site that does microinteractions really well is Werkstatt – Creative Portfolio Theme. The fullscreen demo of the theme features a glitch effect for a unique user experience. Click through to see the effect in action.

The Werkstatt theme.

Geometric Shapes and Patterns

A trend leftover from 2016, shapes, patterns and lines continued to make their way into the most popular designs in our marketplace. Reminiscent of flat design, this trend added a cute and quirky feel to themes using modern design.

I’m a big fan of how Fusion – Creative Multi-Purpose WordPress Theme has made use of patterns, shapes and microinteractions to really make its homepage variations “pop.”

The Fusion theme.

Louder and Brighter Colors

This year marked a big shift away from muted, neutral colors to brighter and bolder designs. Not only has this helped cement the branding of some of the themes in our marketplace, it has helped give them a fresh look that’s on trend how tech companies like Dropbox and Spotify have redesigned their websites.

A great example of a theme leading this particular design trend is Halcyon – Multipurpose Modern WordPress Theme.

The Halcyon theme.

Authentic Photography

Who needs stock images when great quality photos are everywhere these days? These days, anyone can spot a stock photo. Likewise, free images resources like Unsplash have become so overused that you’ll find photos from the site everywhere – not a great look when you’re trying to be original.

Fortunately, since everyone has a smartphone these days it’s easy to take a great quality photo yourself. And if you don’t have an eye for photography, check out the fantastic images over at Envato Elements.

Check out Baker – A Fresh Theme for Bakeries, Cake Shops, and Pastry Stores for a mouth-watering example of how genuine, authentic photography can really sell a theme.

The Baker theme.

WordPress Plugins in 2017: The Technology Trends

One of the great things about WordPress is how extendable it is – if there’s a feature or function you need for your site, there’s a plugin for it.

As the web has evolved to keep pace with web design – and also make our online lives easier and more productive – plugin authors have stepped up to the challenge, releasing some exciting solutions to our plugin marketplace this year.

But while new plugins have gained in popularity, old favorites have shown the test of time and continue to dominate the top 10 best-selling products. As we close out 2018, here are the top trends in WordPress plugins.

Page Building and Drop and Drop

The WPBakery Page Builder.

It might’ve had a name change, but WP Bakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer) is still by far the most popular page builder plugin in our marketplace with almost 340,000 sales. The drag and drop plugin makes short work out of customizing any website.

When you search “page builder” in our marketplace, the results show a total of 398 plugins, revealing just show in-demand drag and drop solutions are for WordPress.

Cryptocurrency

Bitcoin, the world’s first decentralized digital currency, was first invented 8 years ago. While it’s not all that common to see websites that accept Bitcoin payments, the fact is 1.5% of Americans have used it or are currently using Bitcoin – that’s 4.8 million people.

Image:Bitcoin trading concept.

So it’s no surprise that plugin authors have developed a variety of solutions that enable websites to accept digital currency as payments – and integration cryptocurrencies with WordPress in other cool ways, including:

  1. Displaying market information
  2. Payment Gateways and Accepting Payments
  3. Accepting Donations
  4. Gaming
  5. Mining

eCommerce / WooCommerce

Image: Computer Table Hands Girl Credit Card Concept.

WooCommerce is the most popular eCommerce platform on the web, now powering over 28% of all online stores. One of the best things about this free, open source solution is that there are hundreds of extensions available to help you add greater functionality to the core software – everything from tools to help you better manage your store, display shipping information at checkout and grow your marketing efforts.

Over the past year, 648 new WooCommerce plugins have joined our marketplace, bringing the total number of extensions we have available for WooCommerce to 2,276.

Live Chat

Just some of the live chat available in our marketplace.

This year has seen live chat become an essential tool for eCommerce and support teams. The great thing about live chat is that you don’t have to wait around for someone to reply to your email or phone call – you can chat to someone right now – actual people answering your questions in real-time. What’s more, it allows support team members to multitask while helping multiple customers.

There have been 42 new chat plugins added to our marketplace over the past year, helping websites provide more support options and also integrate customer support with social platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp.

What’s in Store for WordPress in 2018?

One word: Gutenberg. In his State of the Word this year, Mullenweg said his 3 big focuses for the year ahead would be around Gutenberg and core development (WordPress 5.0 is due out next year), specifically, Gutenberg editing, customization and a new theme.

While all of that will be keeping Mullenweg busy, in other parts of the WordPress ecosystem I suspect will see more shifts in the product market as plugin developers reassess their business models and some edge closer towards adopting a SaaS model (as Envato has this year with Elements) and big players like GoDaddy continue eyeing off small companies that are ripe for the picking.

Other things to keep an eye out for: cryptocurrencies and mining with plugins/websites as Bitcoin continues to rise in price, jostling in the managed WordPress hosting space as Automattic gets a foothold, and the continued rise of WooCommerce as the most popular eCommerce platform. When it comes to WordPress, the future is bright.

LinkedIn Video is Here – 5 Ways to Make It Work for Your Brand - envato.com coupon

People are consuming online video at an increasing rate. More than half of all people watch online video every single day.

Videos are highly engaging and compelling to watch, share, and post. Video posts on social media get 1,200 percent more shares than text and image posts combined.

90 percent of consumers find product demo videos helpful to their decision making process. Add in the fact that 59 percent of senior execs prefer video over text, and it’s easy to see why LinkedIn now offers native video on its platform.

Companies who use video enjoy more web traffic, more social shares, and more conversions. With the rise of Snapchat and Facebook Watch, it’s about time LinkedIn joined the social video scene.

What Is LinkedIn Native Video?

As of August 2017, users can now film or upload video directly to LinkedIn using the LinkedIn app on their phones or via the website on their desktop computer. Videos can be as short as 3 seconds, and captured in either vertical or horizontal format.

As brands continue to bend over backwards to humanize themselves to consumers, this new video functionality gives LinkedIn a welcome personality refresh. By its very nature, LinkedIn has always been the most polished and professional of social networks. Now, people can see the face behind the headshot, or the people behind a company.

Sharing a video is as simple as sharing anything else on LinkedIn. Whenever you create a new post, you’ll now see a camera icon or video button.

One of the great things about LinkedIn is that it lets videos shine in all their glory. Once the user clicks play, they instantly take over the screen. The default setting on Facebook, on the other hand, is to start playing videos while they’re still thumbnail size.

And that’s not the only great thing about LinkedIn video. Once you post a video, you get access to the same audience insights you see with all your other LinkedIn posts. Discover the titles and locations of your viewers, where they work, and view engagement stats like total views, likes, and comments. Now you’ll know exactly how well your video content is performing on LinkedIn, since you’ll see insights directly from the app, instead of just seeing your YouTube video views go up without having any idea of whether it was your LinkedIn post that drove them.

There are a few other features worth mentioning. Users can tag people whenever they post a video (probably best to reserve this option for your costars, rather than tagging that one prospect who keeps ignoring your emails). You can also add hashtags to increase the discoverability of your video, and you have 700 characters to sell your video and include links to other content. Especially popular videos can be linked to within the Media section on your LinkedIn profile.

A Few Caveats

Before you faint with excitement, be aware that there are a few drawbacks to LinkedIn video. Chances are these feature gaps will be addressed soon, but you’ll want to be aware of them as you start filming.

Recording:

  • There’s no live streaming – yet. Fortunately, there’s a decent compromise: users can record a video using the LinkedIn app on their phone, and then immediately publish it afterwards as an almost-live video.
  • There are no captioning features available, so you have to rely on users clicking “unmute” to hear what you’re saying, or you can get creative with cue cards or video editing software to add subtitles.
  • Videos are limited to 10 minutes in length, and LinkedIn recommends keeping videos between 30 seconds to 5 minutes for maximum engagement. So don’t plan on using this feature to record entire conference sessions at your latest industry event.

Playback:

  • Videos shot in vertical format get cropped to a square in LinkedIn feed, which can result in some awkward neck shots. However, horizontal videos display full-size in the feed, and the vertical videos do expand once clicked.
  • Videos are muted by default, like on Facebook. Users need to click to hear the sound.

Marketing:

  • While you can link directly to a public video post, there isn’t any embed functionality yet, limiting your ability to host LinkedIn videos on your website and landing pages.
  • LinkedIn Native Video is currently only available to individual users on LinkedIn, not company pages. But your team can arm your marketing and recruiting staff with video assets and ideas to promote your brand on your behalf, and you can always reshare their posts on your page.
  • There’s no dedicated video tab yet, so you have to hope you’ll show up organically in people’s feeds or use hashtags to increase your discoverability.

5 Ways Your Brand Can Use LinkedIn Video

Even with its limitations, LinkedIn video is still a big deal. Native Facebook videos get 10 times as many shares as embedded video, and the average social video keeps 37 percent of viewers watching all the way to the end.

Get ready for your video content to enjoy more success than it has before. Here are five types of video you can create for LinkedIn.

1. Upcycle your content

Content marketers love to “upcycle” their content. This technique allows them to get more out of one piece of content by sharing it in different formats, such as a blog post, podcast, a series of tweets, and video.

Repurpose your blog posts into videos for LinkedIn. You could do a deep-dive on one section from the content, or share the sub-headings so people click through to read more in detail. Here’s an example from Moby Siddique of RedPandas:

Alternately, you could create videos dedicated for social media. Many business professionals log in to LinkedIn every morning to get their daily business news fix from sites like The Wall Street Journal. Now those publishers can share the latest headlines via video posts. Rodrigo Brancatelli, Senior Editor at LinkedIn, shows how the BuzzFeed-style video popular on Facebook can perform just as well on LinkedIn:

2. Humanize your brand

Perhaps the biggest opportunity for businesses with LinkedIn video is the ability to put a face to the brand. Videos of your team brainstorming during a meeting, or sketching new creative, endear customers to your company. Share a compelling video case study or customer testimonial. Videos are expressive and make your brand feel human in ways written materials aren’t capable of.

Videos can amplify your recruiting efforts on LinkedIn. Show a day in the life at your office, or interview employees for an update on their latest project or their best tip of career advice. These will pop a lot more than the “So and so is hiring!” text posts that inundate the main LinkedIn feed. CEO Sam Shank shared a recent team lunch at HotelTonight, earning almost 1000 likes and 50 comments:

3. React to events

Behind-the scenes looks at events are made for social video. Allen Gannett, CEO of TrackMaven, connected with Cathy McPhillips, VP of Marketing for Content Marketing Institute in the hall at the latest Content Marketing World. In the quick video below, she shares her #1 tip for event marketing. It’s timely, it’s relevant, and it’s quick to watch.

Video also transforms boring marketing news into something people will actually pay attention to. People probably won’t read the press release announcing your latest store opening, but they might actually watch a ribbon cutting ceremony on LinkedIn. Adena Friedman, CEO of Nasdaq, made a GIF celebrating MongoDB’s IPO. This fun video shared the news in a way that instantly gets the point across.

4. Explain your product

Some of the most effective types of marketing videos are product explainers, demos, and tutorials. Explain your products or services via LinkedIn video. The video insights may reveal the types of people interested in your product, such as publicists or IT pros, who you can then target in your advertising both on LinkedIn and other networks like Facebook and Google AdWords. You might even begin to create new content targeting those users specifically.

Video helps B2B companies make “boring” products quirky and interesting. Brian White of AgilityWorks Limited knows that screengrabs of CRM software just aren’t as fun to watch as a bunch of toy cars racing around your Macbook. With the power of video and a trending topic (#bigdataweek), he’s able to reach more users and promote his product.

5. Partner with influencers

With LinkedIn Pulse and last year’s foray into Influencer videos, LinkedIn has been on a slow but steady course towards fostering its own group of native influencers. These videos offer another way brands can partner with influencers. Event marketers can interview keynote speakers ahead of time, or give a sneak peek of their presentation, to build interest and attract attendees.

Influencers too have opportunities with LinkedIn video, from product unboxings to sharing their reactions to industry news or conference event sessions. LinkedIn Influencer Goldie Chan demonstrates how LinkedIn can be both a place to discuss professional business updates, as well as a fun social network where you can use video filters. No word yet on how soon these Snapchat-esque filters will be accessible to general LinkedIn users.

Another LinkedIn influencer, Viveka von Rosen, uses video as teasers for her latest LinkedIn Pulse articles:

What Donald Trump, Suzuki and More Made With Envato - envato.com coupon

Every day, people create things using products from Envato. From websites for small businesses to music videos for massive artists like Kanye West, our marketplaces serve a wide variety of customers.

Made with Envato is our initiative to unearth and share what our community of customers make using our products. In this article, we’ll take a look through some of the best audio and video projects shared with us in the last two months. Including by one of the most powerful, and heavily spray tanned political leaders in the world.

Donald Trump

Using: Suspense by Andrew_G

In case you’ve forgotten, Donald Trump is the actual president of the United States. Yet, even though he won the race for the White House over a year ago, he’s treated his first twelve months as if he’s still campaigning against Hillary Clinton. Case in point is this video released on his Facebook page in December.

Using Envato item, Suspense by Andrew_G, the video criticizes former FBI chief, James Comey, and claims the FBI’s reputation is in tatters. “But fear not,” he says. “…we will bring it back to greatness.”

The video has been viewed 884 thousand times.

Suzuki

Using: I Feel like a King by AVOCADO_SOUND

Suzuki has used the Envato track I Feel like a King in an ad for its SV650X ABS motorbike.

The title, which makes up the lyrics of the track, really sums up what this ad is trying to do for the viewer – make them feel like a king. And it mostly succeeds.

Bull

Using: Fight Night Opener by nixstudioedition

US TV show, Bull, has used nixstudioedition’s Fight Night Opener in the ninth episode of its second season which aired around Thanksgiving.

After releasing his team to enjoy the holidays with their families, Bull finds himself working solo, helping a boxer being tried for murder. In a scene centered around the wrestling ring, you can see the Envato item.

Doorson

Using: Inspiring Cinematic by original_soundtrack

Door company, Doorson, has used Inspiring Cinematic by original_soundtrack in this montage showing off their product. You get a glimpse of the technology, and of the door in action, as well as the ways you can customize your door. And it’s all tied together by this purposefully intense track.

Battle Dogs by Rooster Games

Using: Action Dubstep 2 by kloudization

Rooster Games which has over 200 thousand subscribers on YouTube has put together this trailer for their game, Battle Dogs, available on Google Play. Iloura

Using: Timelapse Trip-Hop by khursey

This epic showreel from Video Effects company, Iloura, shows off their ability to create realistic environments and blend it with real footage. The sensational visuals paired with Timelapse Trip-Hop by khursey make a great video.

Immortal-Arts

Using: Epic Technological Trailer by new-genesis

Immortal-arts, which also specializes in creating real looking visuals that are actually CGI, have used Epic Technological Trailer by new-genesis in its showreel. The track helps create a sense of epic excitement.

Christina Aguilera

Using: Wind of Change by Wayman

Christina Aguilera wrote the song “Change” in response to the Orlando shooting that happened in 2016 at a gay nightclub. To roll the song out, the pop music artist created a lyric video that blended the song’s words with images of herself growing up. To achieve this she used Wayman’s Wind of Change template from VideoHive. It perfectly captures the intimate nature of this song.

Marc Pro

Using: Action Sport by florews

This Marc Pro Crossfit commercial aired nationally in the US during the 2017 Reebok Crossfit Games. It’s a slick video, showing a lot of incredibly fit people exercising. And, it uses Action Sport by florews.

Greenpeace

Using: Traveler by MValentino

This animated video from Greenpeace, made by Latte Creative, is gorgeous in its visuals but serious in its message. It focuses on explaining the case of 30 peaceful protestors who were imprisoned for hooliganism, asking for the world’s support to help free them. It’s very effective and uses Traveler by MValentino.

Uberchord

Using: Energetic Sports Stomps & Claps by melodrama

Uberchord is a crowdfunding product that aims to create an app to help people learn to play instruments using their mobile phone or tablet. The video conveys a lot of information, with no voice over and all through text. It uses Energetic Sports Stomps & Claps by melodrama.

Listerine

Using: Uptown Summer Funk by ABSounds

So… this ad is kinda weird. To advertise Listerine, the company employed a guy to dance in the street and try and get people to join in. 25 people agree to dance. 18 of them happen to use Listerine. And, uh… that’s that. It uses Uptown Summer Funk by ABSounds.

The Infamous Team

MobiSlyder

Using: Arrow Slide by yeremia, Mobile Phone Corporate by BILDER

MobiSlyder is Glidetrack’s answer to smooth panning when filming something on a mobile phone. And, for the product video, they’ve used video graphics template Arrow Slide by yeremia, as well as the Mobile Phone Corporate template by BILDER.

It’s well paced, mixed with clear and well-shot footage of the product as well as 3D mockups of it. And, the template ties it all together really well. It’s great use of an Envato item.

The video is stunning, almost exclusively because of the footage that makes it up. Historia (History Channel Spain)

Using: Microscopy: Mosquito Larvae 08 by Juanjosejimenez

Spain’s version of the History Channel has made a documentary on the rising temperature of the earth, with the use of an Envato item. Another of Juanjosejimenez’s items, stock microscopic footage of a mosquito, features in this promo.

Using: The Shark Song by Stockwaves

With over 1 million views on YouTube, this animation by Baby Learning World, a channel which produces nursery rhyme songs and videos, has used Stockwaves’ track The Shark Song. Kids videos like this are very popular on YouTube. Quite often, they’ll use a track like this from a stock music site like our’s, and blend it with their own footage or animation.

Amanda Cerny

Using: Indie Pop by Sokolovsky
